(EN) Markus Reiterberger forced to sit out Donington Park

Markus Reiterberger will unfortunately not be able to mount his BMW S 1000 RR bike at the eighth round of the FIM MOTUL WorldSBK championship next weekend at Donington Park in the UK. The Youngster from Obing, Germany was all of a sudden caught by a heavy viral infection with strong headache and high fever. He had to stay in hospital during the last night and his doctors gave him a prohibition for flying and working. Further check ups will be done during today.

The news are a shock also for the 25-years-old as he was looking forward to the British racetrack and the work with his BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team there. If Reiti will be able to travel to Laguna Seca for the following weekend will be decided during the next couple of days, considering his health conditions. More infos to follow. We kindly ask to not text or call him to leave him the time he needs for a speedy recovery.
