Third round for the IDM

next event of the International German Motorcycle Championship in Most, Czech Republic

Next weekend, from June 24th to 26th, the third round of the International German Motorcycle Championship will take place at the Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic.

After the still inspiring victory of the 24-hour race of Spa Francorchamps, in which he took part with the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team, Markus Reiterberger travels with his BCC-alpha-Van Zon-BMW with a respectable lead of 49 points to one of his favorite tracks.

At the last two races in Oschersleben, Markus Reiterberger was able to finish first and second. But the fight with his closest competitors Florian Alt and Toni Finsterbusch remains exciting. In the field of the IDM-Superbike will also appear some top-class riders from the Superbike World Championship this weekend in Most, because the former Vice-World Champion Leon Haslam will stand in for the injured Bastien Mackels at Kawasaki. The Argentinian Leandro Denis "Tati" Mercado will take over the CBR 1000 RR-R of the Holzhauer Racing Promotion team in Most. So it remains exciting.

Nevertheless, the 28-year-old is looking forward to the third race weekend of the IDM season in good spirits, because Markus Reiterberger has positive memories of the traditional Czech circuit.

Markus Reiterberger:

“Most is a great race track, I like it very much. Last year I got my first victory here in the endurance racing world championship, in the 6-hour race. Now parts of the track have been resurfaced, which is probably even better as the other parts already had really good grip. I like the layout of the course and with the really good surface, I'm looking forward to a couple of great races. We have some new stuff that we want to try out. The main goal is to fight for victory again this time. I'm really looking forward to the weekend in Most, hopefully with good weather and lots of spectators.“

On Sunday, June 26, the two IDM Superbike races will start at 11:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. respectively. Both races will be broadcast live on the website www.idm.de.
