Final preparations for the 2024 FIM EWC at Le Mans completed

For Markus Reiterberger, just like for the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team, the countdown to the start of the 2024 season in the FIM Endurance World Championship (FIM EWC) is on. The two-day pre-test at Le Mans (FRA) this week marked the start of the final phase of preparations for the season opener, which will take place at the same venue from 18th to 21st April. The BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team, which will line up with Markus Reiterberger (GER), Ilya Mikhalchik (UKR) and team newcomer Sylvain Guintoli (FRA) in 2024, worked on fine-tuning the #37 BMW M 1000 RR during the test.

The clear objective for the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team is to fight for overall victories and the title in the highest class, the Formula EWC, again this year. The team led by Team Manager Werner Daemen finished the test in third place in the overall standings with new knowledge and experience for the upcoming season. Reiti is confident for the upcoming season opener, the legendary 24 Heures du Motos in a fortnight' time in Le Mans, France. Information about the broadcast of the event and live timing etc. can be found shortly before and during the event on Markus Reiterberger's social media channels:

Markus Reiterberger: "We finished the test in third place and all three of us were within four tenths of a second. Unfortunately, I had some traffic on my fast lap and couldn't quite show my best. But we are still happy. We sorted out and tried a few things during this test, which is important for the race. It was also positive that we made good progress in the rain. All three of us were at the front in all conditions. Of course, we all have to keep working hard to achieve our goals, because there is always room for improvement. But we have now analysed everything, understood the new package for 2024 and the new team composition and know in which direction we have to work so that we can be at the front in a fortnight' time. Many thanks to the team, and now we'll keep pushing!"
