EuroMoto Oschersleben Preview – 31 July–2 August 2026

Get ready for the fourth round of the 2026 EuroMoto series, this time in Oschersleben

It’s already been a month since the last EuroMoto event, which took place in Most, the Czech Republic, at the end of June, and Markus Reiterberger is now looking forward to competing in EuroMoto again at Oschersleben following a very successful weekend at the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours race in Japan as part of the Endurance World Championship.

It has already been four years since his last appearance on the 3.67 km circuit in Oschersleben, Saxony-Anhalt. Back then, Reiterberg secured victory in the second race after finishing second in the first. That year, the now 32-year-old clinched the overall title in the International German Motorcycle Championship. It’s been a long time, but Reiterberger’s motivation has not waned. Following a successful and positive pre-season test with the Masteroil Alpha Van Zon BMW Team at Oschersleben, the Obing-based rider is confident that this coming weekend he will finally be able to put the bitter aftertaste of Most behind him, where he finished well below his expectations with two seventh-place finishes in the two main races.

The key here is to lay a solid foundation for the weekend right from the first practice session, and that is what Reiterberger and his team will be working on. “I’m looking forward to the EuroMoto Championship again now. Most fell short of our expectations, and I want to put that behind me quickly with some good results. We’ve analysed the data from the disappointing weekend in the Czech Republic, as well as that from the positive pre-season test at Oschersleben, and have come up with some good ideas that we want to try out. I’m motivated, especially after the fantastic success we had in the EWC 8-hour race in Japan. I’ve got a very clear goal in mind once again. With Friday’s practice, we need to lay a solid foundation right from the start for qualifying and our starting positions for the races. I’ll give it my all to finish at least as the best BMW and on the podium.”
