(EN) Magny-Cours - Day 1 - free practice, Superpole & Race 1

No luck at Magny-Cours

There is not much to say about the second day of the Pirelli French Round of the FIM MOTUL Superbike world championship today at Magny-Cours, France. Markus Reiterberger did not have a good day with his BMW S 1000 RR on the racetrack in the South of France. No feeling with the rear, a lot of sliding and difficulties with the electronics did not make it easy today for the 25-years-old.

Markus Reiterberger, P16: „Unfortunately I had problems with the electronics this morning. I was only able to ride for four or five laps when it dried off with this. It was enough to finish in 13th position. But it was heavily raining again during the Superpole session. As I had the most time on the track in these conditions yesterday, I thought I can use that clincher, but I felt very uncomfortable on the bike. The rear was like on ice. It was not easy to ride. The 19th starting position is not where I want to be. Furthermore my start into the race was not good either. Generally it was not easy to ride today and additionally I also had difficulties with the electronics. I really hope they find the error soon and also that they find something that helps me.“
